We offer training in agentic AI systems, prompt engineering, AI-assisted workflows, Python programming, data science, machine learning, cybersecurity, post-quantum cryptography, quantum computing, and robotics. Programs are available in classroom, hybrid, and self-paced formats with stackable credentials and micro-certifications aligned with Maryland employer demand.
Yes — and this is a core part of our mission. We serve all 18 rural Maryland jurisdictions as defined by the Rural Maryland Council, including the Eastern Shore (Kent, Caroline, Dorchester, Somerset, Worcester counties), Western Maryland (Garrett, Allegany, Washington counties), Southern Maryland (Calvert, St. Mary's counties), and Central Maryland fringe areas including Frederick, Carroll, and Harford counties.
The AI Social Impact Challenge is our annual statewide competition awarding up to $500,000 — with $300,000 to the top winner and $200,000 distributed among finalists — for AI-enabled solutions that expand economic opportunity in Maryland. Focus areas include education, workforce development, and financial empowerment. Open to nonprofit and for-profit organizations in the U.S. and U.S. territories.
We provide hands-on AI training for small and mid-sized businesses including non-tech and main-street businesses such as retailers, restaurants, contractors, and traditional trades. Through our programs, Invention Lab, and membership ecosystem — supported by NVIDIA, IBM, HPE, Anthropic, and Hitachi — we help businesses integrate AI into daily operations, marketing, and supply chains.
Yes. Inception Maryland's programs are aligned with Maryland's AI Protect, Prepare, Accelerate legislation — including the MD TRAIN Program (grants to reimburse employers for AI upskilling of incumbent workers) and the Opportunity AI Program (supporting organizations providing AI entrepreneurship training). As a Maryland-based nonprofit accelerator, Inception Maryland is eligible to support and participate in both programs.
